Milka Popovic, PhD

Dr Milka Popovic, med. biochem, PhD graduated medical biochemistry from the King’s College London at the University of London in 1997. She completed her doctoral studies at the School of Pharmacy (UCL) in London in 2001 as the youngest Doctor of Medical Sciences. During her doctoral studies, she worked as an assistant at the same University, teaching pharmacology. After her doctoral studies, she continued to engage in scientific research in the field of niosomal and liposomal DNA vaccines (she worked on a vaccine against hepatitis B). She obtained a certificate for the application of functional medicine in clinical practice in Tampa, Florida in 2004, after which she was placed on the world’s list of the Institute of Functional Medicine in the USA. She completed her postgraduate studies in Nutritional Therapy in 2007 at the Middlesex University in England.

Since 2019, she has been working in the Belgrade “Beo Lab” laboratory as the Head of the Cabinet for Functional Medicine and Special Laboratory Diagnostics. The areas of her interest and practice are: prevention, gastrointestinal problems, chronic diseases, autism spectrum disorder, anti-aging medicine, sports medicine.
