Jasminka Hasic, PhD

Jasminka Hasic Telalovic is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST). She holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Warwick University, UK, and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Brown University, USA.

Her research interests include algorithms, computer graphics, and artificial intelligence. She spent the more recent years analyzing the microbiome by applying various bioinformatics as well as machine learning techniques to gain important insights. In addition, she is a co-founder of a US-based microbiome startup, Olawell Inc.

She initiated a project at SSST, building on her previous research in microbiome analysis and machine learning, to explore the microbiome of autistic children in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
