Nermina Kravic, MD, PhD

Prof Nermina Kravic, MD, PhD, prim. Is a neuropsychiatrist, subspecialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, and group analyst. She is employed at the Clinic for Psychiatry at the University Medical Center Tuzla, and is the head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

She was born in 1968 in Tuzla, where she studied and in 1993 acquired the title of doctor of medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Tuzla. She has a master’s degree and a doctorate in the field of the consequences of war trauma in children and adolescents.

She attended professional postgraduate studies in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, passed all scheduled exams and acquired the title of subspecialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy in 2015. Organized by the Institute for Group Analysis from Zagreb, she completed a five-year training in group analysis and acquired the title of group analyst.

In collaboration with the EMDR Association from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, she completed three levels of training in the psychotherapeutic technique EMDR (Eye movement desensitization reprocessing).

She has had several educations in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and genetics, participated in several international cooperation projects and research projects with universities in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Norway and the United States, where she paid study visits and presented papers.

She regularly participates in domestic and international congresses and professional gatherings. She acquired the title of associate professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Tuzla. She has published several scientific and professional papers and publications in domestic and international journals.
